James Faraci, 96, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Brandywine Living at Middlebrook Crossing in Bridgewater. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mr. Faraci settled to Monroe 25 years ago. He worked for the U.S. Department of Treasury as a Customs Inspector in New York City. He began his career working at JFK Airport and was reassigned to the World Trade Center continuing his career until his retirement. An avid sport enthusiast, Mr. Faraci followed all of the local New York City teams particularly, the NY Yankees, Rangers, Knicks and Giants. He was also very active throughout the majority of his life. He enjoyed going fishing and for many years he was a member of a roller hockey and bowling league in Brooklyn. In addition, James enjoyed listening to music and dancing with his late wife Marie. Predeceased by his wife Marie and a brother John, surviving are his loving children, Teresa Smith and her husband Donald and Roseann Roberts and her husband Tom all of Piscataway; James and his wife Andrea of Avon By The Sea; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Alyssa, Keith, Victoria, Thomas, James and Lisa and a great grandchild, Amelia. Also surviving are his sister Mazie Faraci and brother Anthony Faraci both of Brooklyn, NY Visitation will be held on September 19, 2017 from 6-9PM in the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854. Relatives and friends will be gathering in the funeral home on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 8:30AM prior to the 10AM funeral service at the New Beginnings Church of The Nazarene, Edison. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. At the family's request, please refrain from sending flowers to the funeral home and please make a donation to the Bristol - Myers Squibb Children's Hospital payable to RWJBH/CHILD LIFE 1 Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
