Obituary of Alicia Lapadula
Alicia Lapadula, 91, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 14, 2023 in Piscataway.
Born and raised in Filandia, Colombia, Mrs. Lapadula arrived to the United States in 1960.
She first lived in the Bronx, NY followed by Rahway, NJ before settling to Piscataway, NJ in 1964.
Alicia was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima, RC Church in Piscataway and will be remembered for her joyfulness, kindness and the love she spread throughout her family. She had a great sense of humor.
Predeceased by her husband Gerardo and a number of siblings, Alicia is survived by her daughters, Anamaria Weston and her husband Paul of Piscataway and Frances Abdoo and her husband Dave of Long Beach, CA; her son, Gerard Lapadula and his wife Adeline of New York, NY; siblings, Fabiola Aristizabal, Enrique Aristizabal and Arturo Aristizabal all of Colombia; and grandchildren Alicia Weston, Hannah Abdoo and her husband Jacob Eidinger, Olivia Abdoo, Sophia Weston, Jack Weston, Grace Abdoo and James Lapadula. Also surviving is a sister in-law, Marie Ingham.
Visitation will begin at 10:30am followed by an 11:30am funeral service on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854.
Immediately following the funeral service, Alicia will be laid to rest alongside her husband Gerardo at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
