His outlook on life was inspiring to others and he never let any of life's challenges stop his positive spirit toward friends and family. John Burns was a gentleman's gentleman. I called him John or simply J. He was kind, caring, compassionate and a truly wonderful person. He also made the very best pot of coffee.
When my husband was ill, both John and MaryAnn were regular visitors to my home. That is not such an easy task for most people. I will never forget their kindness, as it meant so much to my husband.
John was a great husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. I will miss you John and your amazing sense of humor.
Rest easy my friend...until we meet again.

It was through Jack that I met my husband and became a part of this crazy wonderful, fun group of guys and their wives. We had so many parties through the years , lots of great food , games and laughter. He always had a great sense of humor.
Our chain of friends is again shorter as we lose another link. Jack, we will miss you.

Jack (as his friends know him), was best man at our wedding on 10/11/75. Jack & Michael (my dearly missed late husband) were best friends growing up in So Plainfield & later attending the same college in NH. They were "besties" for sure!
Jack was a dear friend for so many years & esp when Michael became sick, he would come to the house to keep him company during the day. I know they loved each other like brothers & Jack missed Michael after he passed. I'll always remember Jack consoling me afterwards & being there for me. He was a good person, friend, husband to Maryanne, brother, dad & grandpa. He will be missed by all the other friends in our group. Rest in peace Jack - love you!
